An Owl Drawing

This is a owl drawing I recently finished. I used a black and metallic Sharpie, some STAEDTLER pens, and a few good old fashioned graphite pencils. Super fun to draw! Would love to try drawing more owls like this in the future!

P.S....I dare you to have a staring competition with him. If you win please let me know:)

Cougar Cub

This is my newest acrylic painting. It was quite a challenge and somewhat frustrating at times (painting fur often times is very difficult) but I think the outcome was worth it

Midnight Run

This is a quick acrylic painting I just finished. Really fun! Kinda different style from what I normally do in acrylic. Sort of an illustrated look. It took me about an hour and a half. '-'

Progress

This post is in commemoration to the many, many....many pictures I have drawn from the ages of 0 though now (16). Today, I decided to count the drawings I have archived over the years and it amounted to about 617...(yes I counted them all). It is amazing for me to think of what progress has been made in my work and I wanted to share a few of my older pieces with you all for no particular reason other than for the sake of a few giggles and some fun memories...
This is an early work I drew of my younger brother. Hehe! I scrawled this onto a pad of note paper at the age of 3...adorable right? My keen sense of style and beauty was developed at a very young age!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I got to the age of 5, I was addicted to the white board. This is a picture of me and another drawing I completed. That horse badly needs some arthritis medicine. And a face transplant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later on in my adventurous 7th year of life...I drew this work horse.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Life went on. And so did my artwork. I could not stay 7 forever...so I grew up (a bit). This drawing of a mountain lion chasing a horse was done at the ripe old age of 12. (yes it is okay to laugh)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROGRESS!!!! PERSPECTIVE!!! FINALLY!...maybe...a little. I dunno. This drawing of a cowboy was done when I was 13.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YESYESYES!!!! I love this one. This fantasy-ish pen drawing somehow appeared on the paper I was scribbling on at the age of 14....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And this leads to the very first acrylic painting I completed when I was 14 under the patient guidance of my art teacher, Bonnie.
The Lord has been so good to me in providing art lessons and advice at just the right times. My art is a journey and it continues to be. I hope my artwork gets even ten times better than it is now in the next sixteen years:)

Cats

This one was drawn from a picture I found in a magazine...I started with a pencil sketch and then did Sharpie over it and erased all the pencil marks...
This was the same process as before...
This one too a while longer than the others...it is 11x14
I used Sharpies, 0.3 mm STAEDTLER Fineliners, and Prismacolor Woodless Colored Pencils.

These were all VERY exciting and fun to draw!

Shedding our Armor

We are walking into the enemy's camp
Laying our weapons down
Shedding our armor as we go
Leaving it on the ground.
We have got to be strong in the
power of His might and prove to the Enemy
That we are the Army of The Lord
And we have won the victory!

Graphite drawing...I used one mechanical pencil, one 6B pencil, an eraser, and a piece of paper wound into a long stick used to smudge...I really dont know what the official name for it is :)
